This is a Type 1 version, 1 litre safety can where the handle is used to open the filling/dispensing point.
The fire safety measures built-in include a chemical resistance stainless steel flame arrester that stops flashback ignition yet allowing a fast liquid flow. There is a self-venting, self-closing leak-proof lid which prevents ruptures from pressure build up and controls vapours and spills.
The cans are painted bright red to allow easy identification of the can, they are also fitted with a large label which allows you to mark details of the contents on the can to reduce the risk of accidental misuse of mixing with incompatible chemicals.
