Secure Information Box Requirement – What You Need to Know

From 23 January 2023, it is a legal requirement under the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 for all existing high-rise residential buildings (at least 18 meters or 7 stories) in England to have a secure information box installed on-site. These boxes must contain key fire safety details, including floor plans, a block plan, and contact information. The fire and rescue service must have access, and the contents must be kept up to date.

We supply a range of Gerda boxes (also known as site information boxes), all compliant with these regulations, ensuring your premises meet the latest fire safety standards.

Every building is different. Our boxes enable you to securely store floor plans, fire-fighting equipment locations, site schematics, and essential contact details—critical for enabling fast, informed action by the Fire & Rescue Service.

These solutions are more than regulatory—they're a key part of your site's emergency preparedness and resilience.
