Drum Vents, Taps & Locks

FM approved Drum Vents. No more worrying about pressure building up in your drums. These safety drum vents automatically relieve pressure between 3 and 8 psi (30 to 55 kPa). Vents are tested to allow 60 cubic inch (1-L) of water through a 9.5mm pipe nipple in less then 6 seconds. Keep the vent in closed position to prevent flammable vapor from escaping. A built-in flame arrester helps absorb and dissipate heat for added safety. Vaccum relief is automatic on vertically installed vents and manual on horizontially installed vents.

FM approved Drum Taps. Simple place these taps on your drum for leakproof dispensing of flammable liquids. Faucets feature an internal flame arrester that prevents flashback of fire into the drum for added safety. Brass construction with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seal ensures excellent chemical resisitance. Take the worry out of awkard spout position with adjustable models 08910 and 08916. They feature a coupling nut that provides rotation of the spout downward after the faucet is threaded in place. Use model 08552 for viscous noncorrosive flammables such as adhesives, paint or heavy oils above 2000 SSU (about 30W oil).

Drum Locks Safely secure drum contents without the risk of contamination.
Keep your durm contents safe from theft, sabotage and contamination with these drum locks. Locks intall easily around the bung flange without the need to remove the original bung. Make of corrosion resistant, non sparking die cast.
Dip & Rinse tanks

Where there is a need to soak components in flammable or hazardous liquids the use of an FM insurance approved Justrite dip tank or rinse tank will help you control the risks associated with Flammable Liquids.

Dip tanks are fitted with stay-open lids fitted with a fusible link, rinse tanks have a foot operated self-closing cover.

Flammable Waste...

Fire Safety Compliance have a range of flammable waste containers listed below, also commonly known as solvent rag bins, these are ideal for storing your used and flammable liquid & solvent soaked cleaning rags etc. The Justrite Flammable Waste containers are FM Insurance approved, have a 10 year guarantee and are fitted with self closing lids, these lids help reduce oxygen (and therefore oxidisation, self-heating and spontaneous combustion), they can help retain a fire within a container and the containers are also raised off the floor with ventilation holes underneath to assist in heat dissipation.

The containers are available in both worktop style hand operated lids and foot operated styles, and in various sizes ranging from 8 litres to 80 litres
Dispensing Bottles

Fire Safety Compliance have a range of Justrite dispensing bottles available to assist in safe dispensing of flammable liquids to help minimise spills and splashes, some of the bottles are FM insurance approved versions.

Designed to enable single handed operation and safe dispensing onto a work surface yet are shaped to enable a firm grip. Some are provided with a brass self-closing valve, others have a fine flexible tube for accurate dispensing of a fine stream of the liquid.
Safety Funnels

Fire Safety Compliance are pleased to offer the range of Justrite Safety Funnels, ideal for use with flammable liquids, such as solvents and thinners. The funnels screw into the 2" opening on a closed-head steel drums and won't fall off if the drum is knocked over.

Plunger Cans & Bench Cans

Plunger cans are the ideal way to safely store and dispense flammable liquids and solvents at the workstation, allowing the user to pump the required volume of liquid onto a cleaning cloth whilst minimising the risk of a spill. Bench Cans -Simply place work on spring-loaded, perforated dasher plate, press down and agitate, then release to return dasher to drain position. Plated steel dasher also works as an effective flame arrester to reduce the risk of fire flashback. Hinged cover minimizes evaporation losses and protected rim reduces the possibility of hand injury.
